Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a well‑established accountancy practice specialising in the entertainment sector, here is Sheffield.  Are you a meticulous bookkeeper who enjoys variety, pace, and working with, high‑profile accounts?  We’re looking for someone to join our clients specialist accountancy practice supporting some of the biggest names in the media and music industries.

You’ll manage bookkeeping and VAT compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant. While the role is predominantly bookkeeping, there is scope to support with statutory accounts preparation if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of bookkeeping and VAT returns for a portfolio of media and music industry clients
• Processing invoices, expenses, receipts, and payments
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting compliance deadlines
• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation (ideal but not essential)
• Liaising with clients, managers, and industry representatives with professionalism and discretion
• Using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero

About you:

• Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice
• Xero experience is essential; Sage and QuickBooks experience is highly beneficial
• Good communication skills and excellent timekeeping
• Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines
