Description

Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a highly respected law firm, to recruit a Data Protection Paralegal to join their busy and growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal with litigation experience who is looking to develop their career within an interesting and ever-evolving area of law. Whether your background is in Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Clinical Negligence, Employment, Housing or another litigation-based discipline, we are keen to hear from candidates with strong transferable skills and a genuine interest in learning something new.

  • Taking initial client instructions, gathering evidence, opening files and supporting fee earners with ongoing litigation.
  • Assisting with matters relating to the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and misuse of private information claims.
  • Communicating with clients, obtaining relevant information, and supporting documentation.
  • Managing electronic case files, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
  • Assisting with document disclosure, document review, and case preparation.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal within a law firm.
  • Litigation experience, gained in any legal discipline.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • A professional, empathetic and resilient attitude when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist and rapidly changing area of law.
  • Experience within litigation environments would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
