Description

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading local charity in the recruitment of a Warehouse Manager to run their donation centre.     Leading a team of 10 paid staff plus a team of volunteers you will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure the effective management, operation and staffing of the centre
  • Manage the storage of stock in the warehouse and other storage locations
  • Organise deliveries, collections and distribution of donated stock
  • Responsible for all aspects of people management in line with HR policy and procedures including recruitment, training etc
  • Recruiting, supporting and managing volunteer sorting teams to ensure items are processed in line with policies, procedures and quality control
  • Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations for the warehouse space, associated offices and vehicles

The successful candidate with be a self-motivated and inspiring manager who is a great communicator, commercially astute and can help drive positive change.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of managing and/or running a retail warehouse function
  • Experience of leading and managing warehouse teams
  • Organising transport for the delivery of stock
  • Excellent working knowledge of H&S Law and Regulations
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
