Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading travel operator on the recruitment of a Senior Creative Designer with a proven track record of high-quality design and artwork.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the organisation at an exciting time of growth as the industry starts to boom again! You’ll work in-house as part of their creative marketing team on the artwork and production of a variety of marketing and communication activity for several brands. Working alongside a team of designers, you’ll lead the creative process from concept to completion, motivating and collaborating with the wider team throughout.

Responsibilities:

  • The design and production of marketing material and assets for 2 leading brands.
  • Lead the creative process on all design projects, managing ideas from concept to execution.
  • Motivate and engage others during the design process.
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts in line with our target audience.
  • Create innovative and engaging visuals.
  • Maintain updated brand guidelines.
  • Ensure the presentation of a strong and consistent brand image across all visual representation/marketing activity.
  • Monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Complete all projects to a high standard and within the timeline.
  • Design and produce printed design work including brochures, leaflets, national and regional press ads, forms, documents, consumer and trade magazines, posters, advertisements, logos plus signage (building and vehicle) and many other forms of visual communication across various media.
  • Prepare design files for print.
  • Creation of digital design work, including digital ads and assets for email and social media platforms.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working as a designer essential.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating solid experience with a range of programs and materials.
  • Creative flair and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A willingness to receive creative direction and respond positively to constructive feedback.
  • Proactive, creative, and enthusiastic.
  • Organised, methodical, and takes pride in seeing work done to the highest standards.
  • Good verbal communication skills – the ability to articulate ideas clearly and liaise with other members of the team.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
  • Ability to work to demanding schedules and deliver tight turnarounds to strict deadlines.
  • Ability and experience to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Effective time management to ensure quality work is delivered in line with project deadlines.
  • Excellent working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent understanding of creative visual principles such as typography, layout, colour theory and brand identity.
  • Experience of digital design beneficial.

With a solid design background and a high level of expertise, you’ll be accountable for delivering impressive design work and must be able to hit the ground running. Ability to communicate effectively is a must.
