Description

Sue Ross Recruitment are currently recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to work with our client based in Sheffield (S20) to cover a period of maternity leave for c. 6months.  This role is part time, working 22.5 hours over 3 days, working in the office.  The role will require you to assist and manage the day to day work load of the purchasing department including raising purchase orders, managing lead times, prices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Raising weekly stock orders
  • Raising ad-hoc purchase orders for special requests from the UK sales and service teams
  • Raising non-stock purchase orders
  • Confirming orders from suppliers
  • Delivery notes from suppliers
  • Assisting the purchasing team with weekly/ monthly tasks such as the rolling stock take, weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Creating and maintaining part numbers
  • Assisting with enquires

The successful candidate must be IT literate and experience using AS400 would be advantageous.
