Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s most state-of-the-art factories to actively recruit a procurement assistant to join their growing procurement team.

The company is one of the UK’s most advanced manufacturers who are building a reputation for imaginative design and build quality, with a growing portfolio of prestigious clients within the residential sector.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong administration skills, is well organised and keen to learn all about buying.

The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for the placing of orders for materials and/or equipment, confirming shipment and delivery of goods and closing out any issues in regards deliveries or invoice queries.

Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Raising Purchase Orders in line with project requirements and requests from the buyers
  • Keep a log of all purchase orders, quote, and delivery confirmation in the relevant folders.
  • Check order confirmation meets order requirements, potentially identifying late orders at confirmation stage.
  • Work with stores to ensure deliveries are recorded and any late deliveries are chased up.
  • Resolving invoice queries order vs invoice.
  • Reviewing “what’s missing” project by project and progressing.
  • Inputting stock counts and challenging inaccuracies.
  • Attend regular meetings with supply chain managers and buyers.
  • Maintain availability status of stock records and suggest adjustments to stock levels.
  • Reporting of damages/short deliveries with suppliers.
  • Update supplier cost prices as required.
  • Liaising with other departments.
  • Maintain data in approved supplier list and ensure up to date PQQ are completed from suppliers.
  • General office admin and any other duties.
