Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a prestigious property management company who are recruiting a Building Manager to run one of their sites in Sheffield City Centre.

This role will be to ensure that the day to day running of the building and client relationships are maintained to a very high standard. You will enjoy working in a busy front of house role without daily supervision. You will have the skills and experience to promote and ensure high optimised occupancy  levels. You will possess high communication skills, be able to think outside the box and use your own initiative. You will have a high standard of both numerical and IT skills. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and possess exceptional sales skills as well as be self-motivated and take pride in growing the building occupancy and the general upkeep of the building. Previous experience in this type of work is ideal.

Your role will include:

  • Responsible for the overseeing of the smooth professional running of the building
  • Covering reception each day (9 – 10 & 2 – 5 at this moment in time) whilst the receptionist isn’t working and covering for any annual leave/sickness of the receptionist.
  • Carry out viewings and work with the building’s enquiries that have been received in
  • Maximise rental income on all new and re-signing tenants
  • Develop ideas to generate new leads and business
  • Develop ideas for networking events to promote the building as well as generating a community spirit among
  • Produce monthly sales reports to the landlord and managing agent on occupancy, building issues, new business and ideas to promote new business and general upkeep of the building
  • Co-ordinate office space for occupation
  • Keep the data base updated with current data at all times
  • Work with the accounts team to ensure accurate monthly billing
  • Create accurate Licence agreements and maintain/review renewals in a timely manner
  • Deal with any tenant complaints as per procedures and in an effective manner
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors and the managing agent’s helpdesk to obtain/instruct works/quotes and inspect works carried out
  • Conduct weekly and monthly building checks as per procedures
  • H&S Checks including, but not limited to, fire alarm testing, emergency light testing
  • Any other ad hoc duties required to ensure the maximum efficiency and smooth running of the buildings
  • Work with local agencies to ensure full market
  • Develop ideas to generate new leads and business
