Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a Sheffield based charitable organisation who are looking to recruit a candidate, for an initial period of 6 months, to provide support to their Fundraising team. 

Although normally working out of an office in Sheffield, this opportunity currently enables you to work from home, on a part time basis working 21 hours per week.  As the first point of contact for the fundraising supporters, the role involves processing donations as well as updating and maintaining the database.

Key duties and responsibilities include;

  • Providing general administrative support to different departments
  • Recording payments and records onto a database
  • Assisting with fundraising campaigns
  • Correctly entering financial details on the database
  • Collating and sending welcome packs to new members
  • Assisting the finance team as required
  • Managing and responding to queries
  • Producing reports

Experience of working in a charity would be highly advantageous. You must be able to work confidently with figures, maintain record keeping systems and follow processes.  Due to the nature of the organisation, you must be able to display a professional yet caring attitude. Creating strong relationships is key, as is displaying an approachable and friendly manner at all times. The ability to prioritise effectively, utilise decision-making skills and use initiative is absolutely essential.
