Sue Ross Recruitment are working with an international organisation in the recruitment of a Payroll Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract.  Working alongside the Payroll Manager and external payroll provider, you will assist in the processing of payroll services for put to 2000 employees.  Initially this is for a 12 month period although this could extend further or possibly even become permanent.   To be considered you will have extensive payroll processing experience as this is a very complex role.

 

Duties include:

  • Processing monthly payroll data
  • Verifying payroll hours from the Time & Attendance system
  • Working directly with the Finance Department regarding payroll reporting 
  • Dealing with payroll enquiries/request from external parties 
  • Processing tax code changes 
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager in reviewing and re-designing payroll processes 
  • Producing monthly payroll file for General Ledger reconciliation
  • Providing payroll information to support business and legal requirements 
  • Maintaining master data and employee payroll data
  • Year-end and monthly payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager with completing regular people data audits, analysis and data cleansing routines 
  • Keeping up to date with relevant payroll policies, processes and payroll legal requirements 
  • Producing regular reports on Excel  

 

In order to be considered for this role you must be CIPP qualified or equivalent and have experience of working for a global business, with good knowledge of UK Payroll regulations. You must also demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills with experience of using HR and Payroll Systems.  You will have advanced Excel knowledge also.  This is a wonderful opportunity to not only be able to do the role but to also contribute top the overall running and improvement of the payroll function.
