Sales Administrator - Sheffield

Details

Our client, a well-established and leading manufacturer, currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Administrator to work as part of a small team in their office in Sheffield. This is a short-term temporary assignment to start immediately, covering sick leave for a period of approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Knowledge of SAP/SAGE or similar database software would be an advantage although this is not essential. 

 

Key duties will include:

  • Customer enquiry handling
  • Costing for quotations
  • Correspondence with customers and suppliers#
  • Pro-active sales of complimentary products
  • Day to day liaison between internal sales team, production and stores
  • Correspondence with couriers and shipping agents
  • General office duties such as filing and document archiving
  • In-coming telephone call answering
  • Post – opening, distribution and taking nightly post

 

The successful candidate must be a flexible, proactive team player with a desire to work in a busy office environment. They must be adaptable and can handle quick changing work requirements. This role would suit a commercial aware self-starter who is able to use their own initiative while also taking direction.
