Compliance Manager Finance/Legal Sector - Sheffield

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading organisation in the recruitment of a Compliance Manager.    You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to legal standards and in-house policies, enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. 

 

Key duties include: 

•Conducting audits and reviews to ensure the execution of compliance standards

•Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously 

•Revising procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues

•Drafting, modifying and implementing company policies 

•Collaborating with line managers to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations 

•Investigating and resolving complaints 

•Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control and risk management 

•Preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate 

 

The successful candidate will be well-versed in legal guidelines and industry best practices relating to Consumer Credit regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority, Legal regulation by the Solicitors regulation Authority and Information Security Management systems. You will be a professional of high ethical standards.  Other prerequisites include: 

 

  • Proven experience in a compliance role 
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations (law and/or finance) 
  • Excelling knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping 
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities 
  • An analytical mind to see the complexities of procedures and regulations 
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Certified compliance professional is advantageous
