Sue Ross Recruitment are currently working with a global steel manufacturing company, based in North Sheffield who are looking for a Scheduler to join their team. The holder of this position is responsible for the detailed scheduling of Remelt, Mill and constrained finishing processes.

 

Key duties will include;

 

  • Building and publishing optimised schedules to keep in line with delivery dates
  • Monitor internal supply chains to determine which strategy should be deployed
  • Monitor process flows within the system
  • Managing priorities on processing and material launch into the remelting, rolling mill and finishing operations
  • Measurement of adherence to plan for operation, process flows, actual lead times and overdues
  • Balancing forecasted demand against production for constraint processes and products

 

The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of the operation of the supply chain, from order entry to despatch. You will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the planning, service delivery and distribution processes.
