Sue Ross Recruitment are working with an specialist charity in the recruitment of a Head of Communications.   We seek a passionate, inspiring and creative individual who can lead a small team and deliver the PR program to grow the brand, increasing reach and engagement. 

 

You will be responsible for positively and proactively managing and improving the charity’s reputation on a national scale.    Your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Developing and implementing the communications strategy – identifying media channels and journalists to obtain coverage in specialist, local and national media 
  • Integrating the approach to external communications 
  • Leading the development of the brand and presence across all communications and marketing channels 
  • Driving change and maximising potential 
  • Line management of the team – carrying out appraisals etc 

 

This position will suit a highly skilled communications professional with substantial experience gained either in house or agency.     You will have experience in media relations, organising media activity and events, managing SEO and developing websites etc.
