Sue Ross Legal are recruiting for a Legal Secretary on behalf of a well-known, firm of Solicitors based in Sheffield City Centre.

 

This role will see you providing support for 4 fee earners within the Criminal department and responsibilities may include; 

 

  • Answering and transferring incoming telephone calls 
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the office
  • Checking Court dates
  • Dealing with queries over the telephone and in person 
  • Arranging prison visits
  • Audio and copy typing 
  • Diary management 
  • Updating case management systems
  • Opening new client files 
  • Organising meetings and appointments 

 

This is a full time permanent role, with the first 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave within the Criminal department whilst also providing support within other departments as required.

 

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have experience gained as a Legal Secretary within Criminal already, however candidates with legal secretarial experience gained in other departments may also be considered. 

 

You will be a confident communicator and have the ability to deal with a variety of clients and external organisations. You will be flexible in nature and demonstrate a willingness to assist with the workloads of other departments when needed.
